Sydney’s newest suburb unveils home display giant’s vision of the future.

UMM staff watched in awe as Sydney’s newest suburb unveiled South West Sydney’s biggest ever display village on Saturday. No amount of rain could dampen the excitement at the grand opening of HomeWorld Gledswood Hills at The Hermitage where 3,000 people streamed into the biggest, most prestigious display village in the region’s history.

We, along with the masses, browsed through 59 home designs by 21 builders including many of Australia’s most recognised, familiarising ourselves with our new and very impressive project.

The opening heralds a new era of large-scale sophisticated display villages, offering Australian families a vision for a new way of life. HomeWorld’s collection of builders showcased innovative, modern and stylish home designs with floor plans offering a definitive shift to open plan, al fresco living.

HomeWorld CEO Frank Death and the builders were extremely excited about the opening of the new village.

“HomeWorld Gledswood Hills is a state of the art display village built to inspire Australian families with great design and value for money choices,” enthused Mr Death.

With homes priced from $130,000 through to $600,000, the site is set within the remarkable new suburb Gledswood Hills, The Hemitage, which is a master planned community balancing contemporary architecture with the natural surrounds.

Working with clients in the property and homewares sectors for 15 years, we recognised that the 59 homes ready for viewing set a new benchmark for display home design and architecture. Each home is refreshingly unique, technologically advanced and has a focus on entertaining, lifestyle and ease of living.

“These homes are built to promote a healthy family lifestyle, spending time together within spacious surrounds, even if the general home site may be smaller in size,” Mr Death added.

There was no denying the overwhelmingly positive reaction from visitors and umm staff alike! Despite terrible weather conditions, thousands of people flocked to the opening day to take in new design options, gather information and enjoy the day’s entertainment.

Our visit to Gledswood Hills confirmed our thoughts: the sophisticated, designer display home trend certainly is the future of contemporary living and property investment in Australia.
