It’s fast, furious, a smash hit in Asia and televised by ESPN globally. And it’s coming to Australia.
Supported by Sydney FC, and featuring the Pele Trick Stars – street soccer’s version of the Harlem Globetrotters – international beer label Tiger is launching a Tiger Street Soccer competition in Sydney – culminating in a grand event and tournament at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
In a unique sideline twist, a member of the public will audition for the chance to become the 5th Trick Star Pro and join the new star-studded show team to compete at the Tiger Street Soccer final in Sydney.
The search for the final team member will take place at the same Sydney location (Overseas Passenger Terminal) on Friday June 15 from 7pm and will take the form of a hardcore ‘Own the cage or go home‘ Panna Football Tournament (1 on 1 football in a cage) that will see the winner ‘Get paid to play on the Streets.’
The five-a-side format game comes on fast and furious in quick bursts of two five-minute halves with two minutes of half-time. The winning team will be whisked off on an all expenses paid trip to Kuala Lumpur to play against Tiger Asian winning teams broadcast live on ESPN. The teams will be playing for a slice of the US$13,000 prize pool.
Cruise Bar is the ideal vantage point take it all in, experience the games and spectacle, and of course enjoy a Tiger beer.
