Remember when Billy Moore coined the famous ‘Queenslander!!’ call to arms, yelling it out incessantly as he trudged down the tunnel baring arms for yet another State of Origin rugby league epic?

I guess being a Queenslander he needed to remind himself and his mates who they were and what the hell they were doing at the time.

But seriously, it is such a Queensland thing to tell the world that only they “get it” when it comes to footy’s showpiece event. They have the mortgage on pride, passion and true, misty eyed “understanding” of this Origin thingy.

Well not from what I saw last night. Our boys don’t need to yell out “New South Welshman!” like they need to be reminded of what it all means. They don’t need to carry on that only they have the Origin mentality like it is some sort of sporting Davinci Code.

They just need to kick ass in front of an adoring audience, just like they did last night.
